Crossway Football Club

It is with much pleasure that we welcome you to the website of Crossway FC

Crossway Football Club plays in the Premier Division of the Chester and District Football League and was formed in 1992 out of a group of young men from various churches around Chester who met each week to play football. From these humble beginnings a team was formed and in 1996 Crossway FC joined the Chester & District Football League.

From the outset Crossway FC was seen as an extension of the life and ministry of these churches and a symbol of their unity. Today the club comes under the guidance of the “Link Up” Network of Churches.

We believe that football can be played in a way that is not only fun, but also gives glory to God. We hope to demonstrate, to those who are part of the club, as well as the teams we play against that God is good and Christians are OK.

It is expected that player’s behaviour and commitment must reflect the Christian ethos of Crossway FC. An attitude of moderation, toleration and co-operation must exist in the infrastructure of the club and, whilst a competitive attitude is desirable, it must not be seen as the primary motivational factor.

Hopefully this website will be able to tell you all you need to know about Crossway FC. However, if it does not, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
